The web site of Marna Schoenwald, whose paintings appear in "& On the Eighth Day" and on the covers of "Rhyming the Hours." Marna Schoenwald has been involved in the arts for most of her life, first as a dancer and then as a choreographer. Choreographing enabled Marna to create images in space, using bodies, sounds and colors. Painting became a natural extension of this desire to create. Watercolors, with all its possibilities of movement and layers provides a venue that both captures and deepens the creative process. Melted waxes augment this process adding textures and layers and movement across the canvas. Paintings created by Marna include landscapes, cityscapes and Spiritualscapes. Spiritualscapes are a means to reveal feelings and spiritual connections that exist within. They express hope, wonder, fear, sadness, and a multitude of beliefs and experiences.
